Ignou Distance MBA Admission Procedure 2026 ?
The open learning university has uploaded the Handbook and Prospectus of Management Programme MBA 2026 on their official website. The management programme MBA comes under School of Management Studies. Interested students can take online admission in MBA distance education programme by going through an entrance test which is known as OPENMAT Entrance EXam.
For admission to the management programmes in 2026 session, the university will conduct entrance exam which is to be conducted soon. Students can also seek admission to Post Graduate Diploma Programmes for certain courses through (Direct Entry) without appearing in OPENMAT entrance exam. Ignou OPENMAT MBA is an entrance exam which is conducted for admission to its MBA distance education program.
IGNOU MBA Entrance Test (OPENMAT) will be conducted soon for the 2026 admissions of these courses. This entrance exam is also applicable for taking admission in other management programmes including MBA which are offered by SOMS – School of Management Studies under IGNOU.
Be remember that Apart from MBA, admission will also be for Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/ Financial Management, Operation Management, Marketing Management and Financial Markets Practice. Interested candidates can download the Ignou OPENMAT MBA Application form from website and needed to send Rs 1,050/- (Rupees one thousand fifty only) as a demand draft which is drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi. IGNOU MBA Course Duration and Medium
To complete MBA distance education programme from ignou, the minimum duration is to complete is 2.5 years and maximum duration to complete the course is 8 years. The medium of instructions is in English only.
IGNOU Distance MBA Eligibility Criteria 2026
Below are eligibility criteria details for those students who wants to apply for MBA distance education programme :
1.) Applicants should be graduate in any discipline with 50% marks (General Category) / 45% marks (Reserved Category ) as per Government of India rules, with 3 years’ managerial / supervisory / professional experience OR
should have professional degree with 50% marks in Engineering / Medicine / Chartered Accountancy (ICAI) / Cost and Works Accountancy (ICWA) / Company Secretaryship (ICSI) / Law.
2. must be clearance of OPENMAT management aptitude test which is conducted by IGNOU.
3. There is no age restrictions for mba admission
IGNOU Distance MBA Fee Structure 2026
The MBA Programme consists of 21 courses in all. The Course fee is Rs 1800/- per course which can be paid through a Bank Draft obtained from any one of the scheduled banks in favour of IGNOU and should be payable at the city where your Regional Centre is located.
The total fee for the distance MBA program is Rs. 37800/-. Fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances. It is also not adjustable against any other programme of this university
IGNOU Distance MBA Prospectus 2026
Each and every year, the university uploaded IGNOU MBA Prospectus on their official website for MBA and other management programs. Students can download IGNOU MBA Prospectus 2026 from online portal by paying a fee of Rs 1050/- while submitting the application form for entrance test or another options is the university will send copy of the Prospectus and Student Handbook after receiving a Demand Draft of Rs 1050/-.
