IGNOU ONLINE ADMISSION JANUARY 2026?

Every Year, the distance university released admission advertisement or notification in National Dailies and on Ignou official website in the month of May for the Admission Cycles of July and Jan for current year. The Indira Gandhi National Open University has released admission notification to ODL (Open and Distance Learning) academic disciplines for January 2026 cycle. We advised students to explore latest admission procedure to get easily admission in Ignou.

The university has invited new and fresh application for January 2026 admission cycle. If any students want to apply online for fresh admission then they can now easily apply by visiting direct link : https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/. The last date for fresh admissions is 28th February 2026 for Bachelor Degree / Master Degree / Diploma / Post Graduate Diploma / Post Doctoral Certificate in Dialysis Medicine programmes will update soon.

Ignou ADMISSION JANUARY 2026 LAST DATE :

With the approval of the Competent Authority, the January 2026 cycle of admission has been started today, the 1st December 2025. The last date for admission is 28th February 2026.

The last date of Online Admission January 2026 in Ignou for programmes such as Master Degree, Bachelor Degree, Diploma, PG Diploma, Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) etc is as follows :

The Instruction to Fill Application Form Online, Registration steps and programmes available for online admission are mentioned in details at university admission portal. There is a provision for online admission facility, the candidates will receive confirmation message of their admission on their registered mobile number and email ID which they filled during filling admission form.

Instruction to Fill Application Form Online for January 2026 session ?

1) For new students, click to advised the available programme tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System and select the desired programme and carefully read the details of programme including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.

2) Click on the button “REGISTER YOURSELF” that appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details. Your username will be instantly sent to you via e-mail and SMS.

3) Before proceeding for filling the form online the applicant must have the following :- Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB), Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB), Scanned copy of Age Proof, Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification (less than 400 KB), Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any) (less than 400 KB), Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 400 KB), Scanned Copy of BPL Certificate, if Below Poverty Line(less than 400 KB)

4) Fee can be paid by following methods : Credit Card(Master/Visa), Net Banking, Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay), ATM Card (PNB)

Once you have uploaded the document, click the next button you will get the Form preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference.

The disciplines which comes under IGNOU Common Prospectus 2025-26, admission is provided in both cycle i.e January and July but few professional programmes such as MBA, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (BSCN(PB)), B.Ed, M.Ed admission will be provided in any one cycle i.e either January or July. One more thing, the prospectus for professional courses is published separately and available online at Ignou online portal.
