IGNOU Project Submission Status

While specific dates are subject to official announcements and extensions by IGNOU, the general last date for project submission for the Decemb1er 2025 TEE is usually around October 31, 2025. Always refer to the official IGNOU website for the most up-to-date information.

IGNOU has a centralized web portal for the online submission of project work, dissertations, fieldwork journals, and internship reports.

How to Submit IGNOU Project Online (Step-by-Step)?

Follow these general steps to submit your IGNOU project online:

  1. Prepare Your Project File :
    • Single PDF Format: Your entire project report, including all annexures, certificates, synopsis (if applicable), guide’s bio-data, and originality certificate, must be scanned into a single PDF file.
    • Clear and Legible: Ensure all scanned pages are clear, well-lighted, not blurred, and in the correct sequence (Title, Contents, Consent, Certificates, Report, Tables, References, Annexures, etc.). Maintain consistent page orientation (portrait/landscape) throughout.
    • File Size: The size limit for each file is typically less than 10 MB. Adjust resolution if needed.
    • Naming Convention: Follow a clear naming convention, such as EnrollmentNumber_ProjectCode.pdf (e.g., 123456789_MCOP001.pdf).
  2. Obtain Guide/Supervisor Approval :
    • Before online submission, you are generally required to obtain approval from your Guide/Supervisor in the prescribed proforma. This might be a digital approval or a scanned copy of a signed approval.
    • For synopsis approval, you usually forward the soft copy to your concerned Regional Centre or the respective School of Studies via email.
  3. Access the Online Portal :
    • Go to the official IGNOU project submission portal (as linked above).
  4. Read Guidelines Carefully :
    • Before proceeding, thoroughly read all the guidelines and instructions provided on the submission page. This is crucial to avoid common errors that can lead to rejection.
  5. Enter Your Details :
    • You will be prompted to enter your:
      • Enrollment Number
      • Program Code
      • Mobile Number
      • Email ID
      • Regional Centre
      • Course Code(s) of the project
  6. Upload Your Project File :
    • Upload the single PDF file of your complete project report.
  7. Submit and Confirm :
    • After uploading, click the “Submit” button.
    • You should receive a confirmation message on the screen and/or via email. Take a screenshot or save this confirmation as proof of your submission.

IGNOU Project Evaluation Fee 2025

Ensure you have paid the applicable project evaluation fee along with your Term-End Examination form.

  • Up to 4 credit project work: Rs. 300
  • Above 4 credits project work: Rs. 500 (These fees are as per recent information and are subject to change by IGNOU.)

IGNOU Project Submission Guidelines (December 2025)

Incomplete Submissions: Incomplete project reports (missing signatures, certificates, or sections) will not be considered for evaluation and will be removed from the portal after the deadline. You will have to re-submit in the next session.

No Email Submissions: Project reports sent via email are generally not considered and will be rejected without intimation. Use only the official online portal.

Synopsis Approval: Ensure your project synopsis (if applicable to your program) has been duly approved before submitting the final report. The original approved synopsis proforma should be part of your scanned PDF.

Viva Voce: The viva-voce for your project will be conducted by your concerned Regional Centre or School of Studies. Keep checking their websites and your email for intimation. It is mandatory to carry a physical copy of your submitted report during the viva.

Keep Proof: Always maintain a digital and/or physical copy of your submitted project report and the submission confirmation.
